AccessoriesFor any air
whistle or air horn
installation, a complete system
will require a proper air source
(air
compressor system),
an operating
valve, and in the case
of electrically operated valves,
an electronic
horn control or push button. Considering
the importance of safety at sea,
we suggest incorporating a
timing device, such as our model
M-511A Control, to automate
signaling in restricted
visibility.

Compressor Models P449-03,
P449-04, P449-09, P449-10,
P449-14 |
|||
|
These D.C. Air Compressor Systems are intermittent duty, incorporate oil-less compressor pumps, and operate on either 12 or 24 Volt D.C. electrical supply. All compressor pumps used in these systems also feature internal thermal disconnect switches to prevent the units from damage in case they are operated beyond their design limits. P449-03 through P449-10 units are designed for use with Kahlenberg Zero Series Airhorns, while the P449-14 Air Compressor Kit may be used for Kahlenberg Air Horn Models as large as the Model D-1. Please see the reference chart above. |

In addition to manual and electronic solenoid valves, combination of valves are offered that can be operated both electrically and manually. Depending on the application of the sound signal, certain installations and regulatory bodies will require the manual override option on an electric solenoid valve in case of electrical system failure.
